Force = Pressure x Area. If the same force applied to a smaller area when the pressure is much higher.

Of course, if you your weight is on your toes instead of heels less of a problem.

Tip: pressure = force / area

The strength (weight) is approximately the same with high heels and loafers. However, high heels are less surface area in contact with the ground, and therefore what happens to pressure?
